It took a bit, but the two fell asleep again. Aki woke up around noon to the sound of Noah coming home and shouting for Aki to come help with some boxes. Annoyed, Aki got up carefully, tucked Hito back in and then left the room.
“What is it, Noah?” he asked, scratching his hair.
“Come help us move these boxes.” Noah said, walking outside.
“Boxes?” Aki asked, following. He gasped as he saw a large moving truck filled with cardboard boxes. “What the hell’s in these?!”
“Dunno… They just came today for Hito from some CEO.” Kei called to them, coming out with some boxes.
They all started to work. First they unloaded the truck and then started loading them inside. Once half the boxes were in, Hito came downstairs to see what all the shouting was about.
Asuka and Aki were shouting about why the boxes were here. They could get into a fight over anything it seemed.
Noah noticed Hito come in and patted Kei to go over to him. Kei groaned and walked over to Hito.
“Yo, Hito,” Kei said waving. “Know some CEO? He just sent us a lot of boxes with your name on them.”
Hito blinked, walking over to one of the boxes and started to open it. Mastuki was working on another box. Hito pulled out a blanket. Mastuki pulled out a stuffed animal.
“The heck?” Asuka asked, walking over to the stuffed animal. “What the hell is all this crap?”
“Shirts… Pants… Bed stuff… BATH stuff…” Kei began to list, looking through the boxes as they opened them. “Toys. Blankets. Games. A computer…”
“Lots of books,” Asuka said.
Noah walked over to Hito. “…Just what is all this stuff? We don’t have room for it.”
Hito took a sharpie and wrote on one of the boxes, “Return to sender.” Then he threw the sharpie down and walked out of the room.
“…Does he..?” Noah blinked.
Mastuki walked over, as did the others. “Strange. He seems angry.”
“Who do you think sent him all this stuff?” Shubira asked.
Kei shrugged. “His parents?”
“Yeah…” Aki nodded. “He is a Ritabi. Don’t they own some big corporation in the city waaay south of here?”
“I think so.” Asuka said, turning to Aki.
Noah crossed his arms, “Hito came all the way here just for school?”
“That’s pretty dumb.” Kei snickered. “So what should we do? Send everything back?”
“Like we can afford to.” Mastuki shrugged. “Let’s just pile it up around the house. When Hito’s relaxed maybe he’ll tell us what to do with it.”
“Maybe.” Asuka rolled his eyes.
The rest of the day they brought in all the boxes and piled them around the house. Hito didn’t come down for dinner though.
In the late night, Aki went to Hito’s door and gently knocked on it. Hito opened it, leaning against it.
“Is all that stuff yours?” Aki asked. Hito shook his head. “Then why’s it being sent to you?” Hito shrugged. “…Can we try words?” Hito glared a bit at Aki. Aki shrugged, “Fine don’t speak.” And he walked back to his room.
“Dad.” Hito said softly. Aki stopped and turned back to the blond. “He.. wants me to come home.”
“So?” Aki asked. “He doesn’t own you. He can’t make you do shit.”
Hito shook his head, went back into his room and closed the door. Aki groaned, turning to his room. He saw Asuka watching him, stuck his tongue out at him and then went into his room.
