AH I've been excited to draw this page for a long time!! The Palesea is coloured because it's so full of divine energy (or "spirit residue")... That's gonna be true of everything that's divinely energized in the comic! Like the dog statues, for example. You'll just have to wait and see what else that applies to...

i LOVE when artists have the magical bits in colour! as well as being a helpful time-saver, it really puts emphasis on the magic and gives it a different feeling.
