We both walked out of the room. Terrence had already left, and gone up ahead. Marley poked me and I turned around. She showed me a rugged old map she was hiding behind her back. I looked at her puzzled. "Did you take that from your dad's room?" I asked confused. She nodded with a mischievous smile. "But you told me not to touch anything!" I replied. Marley opened the map and pointed at some circled spots within the map. "This is how we'll fix Terrence's hair!" Marley exclaimed. "But, I can't leave, I have to wait for dad!" I replied. "Terrence helped you get here right? You owe him." Marley explained. I sighed. He saved me from those ruffians, and I had been ignoring him. "Okay let's go." I agreed. "Yes!" Marley cheered. "Let's go get Terrence!" Marley shouted. She grabbed my hand and began dragging me through the winding hallways again until we reached Terrence's room. He was sitting on his bed feeling his hair, which most of the paint had faded away, he must have tried scrubbing it. "Little bro!" Marley shouted. Terrence glared at Marley. "We're going to fix your hair!" Marley announced. Terrence perked up. "Really!?!?" He yelled excitedly. We both nodded. He jumped out of bed. "Let's go!" He yelled happily. We all raced towards the front door of the manor, with Terrence placing first. We soon left and began our trek down the grand stairway. The sun beamed on our tired bodies. The mansion was huge, and the race left us tired. I wondered where Thimble had gone off too, but quickly dismissed it. Terrence led us to the bottom of the stairs. Marley held his hand, and then grabbed mine. The three of us joined together and watched as the same spiraling light that brought me here, surrounded us.

Zach walked through the ashes of the enemy’s campsite, holding his bloody arm, clutching his bloodied sword. No one was left, all the men were killed in his rash decision. He limped over a few dead bodies. He reached Michael’s corpse. He looked at him sorrowfully, and pulled out the music box. Before he looked at him. "Thank you." Zach stated. He limped past him. He saw the forest in the distance, with the mansion peering above the treeline on its coiffed ground. He opened the little box and let it play. "I will find you Morte." Zach breathed. He begun limping toward the forest, to find me.

I reopened my eyes and saw Marley and Terrence standing beside me. "Come on slow poke the stuff can found by an oak tree!" Marley shouted. Terrence bolted in a random direction with Marley following suit. I quickly followed them not wanting to get lost in the forest again. Thoughts of the scar man flooded my mind. They were fast, and my leg still resonated with a bit of pain. Clumsily I tripped over a root and face planted into the ground. After slowly getting back up on my feet I realized that Terrence and Marley had abandoned me. I was alone in the forest again. Terror settled into my body. I stood still and tried to calm myself. I couldn't. Suddenly I heard a branch break in the distance. At first it frightened me but then I began to calm down. It had to be them coming back for me. I waited anxiously, until a shadow stepped from out of the trees. It was their mother.
Fear was back at full force as I stared at her. She looked at me confused, but then gave me a goofy smile. "Why you’re not that hunky bartender are you?" She said giggling madly. I stood there in silence. "Oh damn it you’re not supposed to know about that, little snitch!" She yelled changing her demeanor. "Know what?" I asked terrified. She withdrew a knife from her pocket. "Little demon will tell on me, you’ll tell my husband! I have to murder you." she giggled. I stared back at her backing up as she rose the knife menacingly. "All children are evil, you just want to spoil my fun!" she spat. She began to giggle more. Suddenly Marley and Terrence ran straight into view and gasped as they saw their mother. She stopped focusing on me and turned to them. "My precious babies, you've seen far too much, you'll tell your daddy, and spoil my fun! You must die too you brats!" She screamed as she charged toward them. Marley and Terrence screamed as they charged into the forestry. She looked back at me and grinned. I quickly bolted after them, with their mother sprinting after me with terrifying speed. The pain in my leg intensified as I slowed down. "Help!" I screamed. As I slowed down. Maniacal laughter filled the wooded area. Gasping for breath I reached the clearing of the wooded area, where Terrence and Marley were waiting for me. "Hurry Morte!" Marley shouted. I got to them panting, and took their hands. The blinding light begun to envelop us. "EVIL!!! EVIL VILE WITCH CHILDREN!!!" She shrieked as she bolted into the light. The light soon disappeared, and their mother stood in front of me on the stairway to the manor. I gasped and began running upstairs, With Terrence and Marley. "EVIL!" She continued to scream as she chased after us with her knife.
After sprinting up the staircase we reached the giant doorway. I pulled on the door only to release something horrible. The doors were locked. I sat there wheezing trying to open the door. Marley and Terrence approached the door. Their eyes turned dark and the door opened. I sprinted inside first with the other two behind me. Marley turned and shut the door locking it. Their mother pounded on the door yelling bloody murder. "I WILL MURDER ALL YOU!!! EVIL!! EVIL!!!" she screamed. I began to catch my breath. "We just broke so many rules...." Marley gasped. Terrence looked at Marley seriously. "Where's dad?" He asked. Marley shook her head. Suddenly we heard glass shatter nearby. We watched in horror as we watched their mother, walk inside , with a bleeding fist covered in shattered glass. She had a crooked smile on her face.
"Run!" Marley screamed. We followed suit as we bolted down the hallway, with her close behind. We entered the dining room. "We're cornered!" Marley shrieked. "The secret wall!" I shouted to Terrence. He nodded and the wall flipped open. Terrence and I walked inside. Marley stood outside panicking. "Get in!" I shouted "Someone needs to be on the outside to close the door!" She shouted back. My eyes widened. "WHAT WHY!!!" I shouted. Marley opened her mouth to explain when we heard their mother approaching down the hall. Her eyes turned dark. The wall turned around. Terrence and I remained dead silent. Their mother entered the room, griping her knife and staring coldly at Marley. "Hello....Honeybun..." She cackled. Marley glared. "Mother." Marley stated. She began to twiddle with her knife. "I'm sorry if I scared you sweetie." She cooed softly. Marley looked at her sternly. “You know me and my games. I'm sorry." She apologized sympathetically. Marley looked at her confused. "What-what?" she responded. "I've been such a horrible parent... please give me a hug." she answered, growing teary in her eyes. "R-really?" Marley asked. She seemed taken back, as her eyes became watery. She ran into her mother’s arms and gently begun to cry. "I thought you would never change, oh mother." She sobbed. Her mother gave a wicked smile. She fished into her pocket and withdrew her knife. "Oh my little lovely child..." She cooed. She violently jabbed the knife unexpectedly into Marley's chest.
Blood flooded from her chest as her face twisted in confusion and pain....heartbreak. I screamed loudly, as I watched blood pour out from her fatal wound. She tried to mutter words but could only make gurgling sounds. "Dirty witch." She whispered as she removed the knife and kicked Marley to the ground. Marley laid there in a puddle of blood. Tears welled up in my eyes as I watched her leave the room and leave Marley struggling. Terrence looked away, head hanging low. The door slowly begun to open. But how? I looked over at Marley and saw her eyes dark. Terrence and I walked out. I bolted over to her crying. She reached into the pocket of the dirty coat I was wearing and revealed her rose. She had planned on me keeping the rose for when I left. "Go...bye....Moo...." she gurgled as she began to close her eyes. I fell to her knees clutching the rose. The thorns poked me and caused me to bleed, but that was the least of my worries. "Morte stop being so loud! She'll hear you!" Terrence shushed me. I looked at him with a confused face. "Terrence she's dead!" I yelled. "SHUT UP MORTE!!!" Terrence screamed. We both looked as a figure entered the room. It was Thimble. "What's all the yelling about-" Thimble shouted before trailing off as he stared at Marley's corpse. "Oh..." Thimble gasped as his eyes welled up. He ran to his daughter and hugged her, getting blood all over his tux. "My beautiful child..." Thimble cried. Dark purple wings sprouted from his back and his eyes turned black. "Which one of you.....KILLED MY DAUGHTER?" Thimble asked menacingly.
Thimble glared toward me. "YOU." He breathed. "Me!?" I gulped. "The roses never lie." He mumbled. I suddenly realized he wasn't looking at me, but directly behind me, a Terrence. Terrence stared back at Thimble unmoved, and unnerved. The three of us turned to see their mother re-enter the room. "SNITCHES!" She screamed raising her knife. Thimble, Terrence and I turned around and looked at her. "Again?" he asked confused. He looked at the bloody knife and then back at Marley. "No...." He whispered, clearly hurting. "They told you didn't them? Oh well!" She giggled as she started walking toward Thimble. "Madelyn...my sweet Madelyn you've become a monster..." He began to sob. She neared him about to strike. "Dad stop her!" Terrence yelled. Thimble still looked devastated. "I can't...kill you....I still love you...." he continued. She stabbed Thimble brutally in multiple parts of his front body, and he quickly fell to the floor. I stood there watching in horror. "Morte run!" Terrence yelled. I nodded and we both bolted out of the room. Their mother didn't follow though, she began to kiss Thimble's bleeding body. I followed Terrence the best I could through the halls of the house and out the front doors outside. Not even daring to look back we entered the light and reappeared in the forest. We stopped. "Now what?" I asked, mortified from the past event. "We build a treehouse." Terrence responded. I looked at him no longer confused by him, but upset. "Terrence your family is dead!" I yelled angrily. Terrence nodded with that innocent smile. "Now I'm free to leave the horrible place." Terrence told me. I was filled with shock. He didn't care, he probably never cared, and all he cared about was himself. I started walking away from him. "Where are you going Morte?" He asked. 'I'm going to find my father." I stated angrily. Terrence's smile faded. "What." He growled. I continued walking.
"You promised me Morte!" He yelled angrily. I kept ignoring him as I entered the bush. Soon I was all alone in this forest again. I just wanted to see my dad again, was it too much to ask for? After a long time I reached the clearing to the valley. "That took you awhile." Terrence giggled. I turned frightened by the sudden voice. Terrence was sitting in the tree with dark eyes. "I thought you were my friend." He growled. I sighed. "I am...but you need to learn respect...before we can be full friends." I sighed, feeling a bit bad for abandoning my buddy. He wiggled his finger at me. "I don't believe you, you hate me, and guess what, and I’m returning the favor." He giggled. Suddenly hundreds of sharp rocks began to float in the air all pointing toward me. He was going to kill me! "Goodbye best friend!" Terrence chuckled. Suddenly a bolt of bright purple lightning struck the ground near us sending me to the ground. Terrence's eyes returned normal as he fell from the tree to the ground. I slowly stood back up. Close by a big winged person fell from the sky. He wore war-torn battle armour, with a black woven scarf covering his face. He had two gigantic black wings protruding from his back. He had overgrown messy black hair that almost covered his menacing purple eyes. I gasped, this could only be one person. The Nightmare. There was a moment of silence, the wind blew ever so gently onto us. "Hello child." Nightmare chuckled. I looked at him horrified.
