When I woke up I realized my arms we're tied behind my back, and I was roped to a tree. A bright fire flickered in front of me. Rough raggedy, sketchy men circled a camp fire. One man with a scar over his face looked over at me and grinned. He stood up and walked toward me, the other men watched. "Good morning sleep bug!" He bellowed. This man was rather large, and had shaggy brown hair, some of it covering the scratch like mark on his eye. The men behind him began to laugh. Scar man turned around and glared at them. "Would ya shut it!?!" He yelled angrily. The laughing died down. "Where....am I?" I muttered nervously, not trying to sound to demanding. He looked at me with a strange look. "Don't be stupid kid, we're in a forest." The man muttered. He was right I looked around and saw tree's everywhere. "Stupid kid." One man chuckled in the background. The scared man ran up to him and drew a red stained knife and held it up to a lanky man. "I....SAID.....SHUT IT." Scar man breathed terrifyingly slow. He withdrew his knife and focused back on me. "So kid, where's your folks at?" Scar man asked. "I don't know." I answered, terrified for my life. He nodded. "See here boys! A kid all by himself in this land, sounds like dead meat!" The man laughed. There was an awkward silence. He pulled out his knife. "LAUGH AT MY JOKE BOYS!" Scar man yelled furiously. The whole camp erupted in laughter. I even nervously chuckled, to avoid being stabbed. He turned around and smiled at me. He was grinning like mad. Then his face went serious. "I see right through you." He stated coldly. "You’re that other kid’s brother aren't you?" Scar face interrogated. Terrence! I had completely forgot about him. "Where is he!?!" I asked paranoid. "Look he admits it." Scar man nudged. "Where is he?" I asked again. Scar man frowned. "You’re a witch too!" He yelled madly.
I froze. He drew his knife. "You people are the reason I'm half blind!" He yelled madly. He pointed toward his eye. "White hair! Red eyes! That's magic if I've ever seen it!" He shouted. He held his knife to my neck. I closed my eyes waiting for the inevitable. "Hey, kid.....let's make a deal okay?" He whispered. "If you lead me to your family." He muttered coldly. "But-" I choked. "Or you could lose your head." He offered. I didn't say anything. He raised his knife and I winced. He slashed it down cutting the ropes. "Deal." He laughed. I walked forward, my whole body soar. I must have been there for hours. "Where’s Terrence?" I asked, monotone, but nervous. "Don't know, don't care." He chuckled. He walked toward the fire and glared at the lanky guy. Six other men rose up and grabbed their stuff. "Okay kiddo you lead us." He ordered. "Me?' I asked terrified. Scar man turned around and looked at me funnily. "Of course you idiot! You'll lead us to your width brethren!" Scar man spat. I gulped. I didn't remember where Terrence's family lived, and I didn't want to sell them out to this man! I started walking into the depths of the forest. It was insanely dark. I had no idea where I was going. This forest was a dark maze. We had walked for about an hour before Scar man grew tired. "Listen kiddo, if you’re leading us all on some stupid goose chase, I'll slit your throat." Scar man coldly threatened. We kept on walking until we reached an opening from the forest. The gang of men, and I stared out to an open gray valley. I gulped as I stared at the mountain in the distance. I had backtracked. Scar man crept up on me.
"Hey.........Witch..........why........did...you.........BRING US BACK TO THIS STUPID VALLEY!?!?" Scar man screamed. His men backed away in fear. He drew his bloody knife and held it toward me. "I'm done with these stupid games!" He shouted. I started backing up slowly. Some men looked away as his knife trudged closer to me. Suddenly he froze. He grunted sounds of pain as his body twitched, still fixed in place. The other men looked over confused. I gasped. From behind the, Terrence emerged, eyes dark. He raised his hand and the knife flew off into the distance. The men drew out their weapons and pointed it toward Terrence. He turned around and glared at them. They ran off screaming. "Terrence!" I yelled relieved. He smiled at me, as Scar man was sent into the sky. His eyes returned to normal. "What happened to you?" I asked concerned. "Those men kidnapped you, mistaking you as a family member of me, they lost me in the darkness, and luckily your best friend the hero tracked you down and rescued you!"
He explained triumphantly. I smiled. "Why did they want us then?" I questioned on. "People don't like us, they've been trying to find our mansion for a long time, luckily again my dad cursed this forest to keep the entrance to our house secret." He explained. I looked out at the valley and saw the sun slowly rising. Light returned to our vision. "So how will we get there?" I asked concerned. "Magic." He giggled. With a raised brow I followed him back into the forest. Terrence and I began walking into the deathly forest. We both walked in silence. Those men had really shook me bad. We continued walking until the path we were walking on split into two paths. "Which way?" I asked confused. "Neither." Terrence answered. He then walked in between the two paths into the trees that separated them. I quickly followed suit. I moved the branch's out of the way as I followed him, seemingly deeper into the wooded area. We soon came upon a clearing. This time, it was a grassy field surrounded by trees. Terrence stood in the middle of the field. I crept up to him. "Watch." He muttered. His eyes turned black as he smirked. From deep within the ground a small grey crystal flew up. Terrence let it hover in the air. Then it began to glow. It turned a bright blinding purple, then its glow extended to the grassy field, turning it orange. "What's going on!?!?" I yelled in fear. Then it all went dark.
