Her leg was very broken. It was almost more broken than she was stupid. As she is laid gently down on the floor a medic came to look at her.
“She’ll be okay, your highness.” Said the old hag that knelt before Cindi.
“Thank you, mother. I must go to look for my princess now. Keep this girl safe please.” And with that said he bounded out of the castle leaving Cindi with his mother.
“Stupid, stupid, girl.” Her words were twisted sourly and came out rusty. At first Cindi thought he was safe then she noticed the three shadowy figures nearing her in the distance.
“CINDI!?” Her step mother shrieked. “What in the world are you doing here?! When we get home I’m gonna-“ Her step mother stopped mid-sentence, noticing the princes mother sitting beside Cindi. “I’m gonna make you a big pot of stew!” Her face softened as she looked at Cindi with kindness.
“WHAT.” Said Cindi and her two step sisters almost on cue.
“Yes, don’t worry darling I will make you the loveliest pot of stew their is when we get home.”
“Well you can take her home right about...” started the hag pouring a pinkish potion on her leg. “Now.” Then Cindi jumped up grabbed the potion and ran.
“GET HER!” The step sisters and a few nearby guards began to chase after the girl. she run up to the top of a cliff only to notice the ocean bellow her. In the distance a she could she a ship and birds. She also saw a storm brewing, but mostly she saw freedom. The guards, her step sisters, and her step mother finally caught up to her trapping her on the hill.
“You little.. When we get home you will never see the light of day!” Says the step mother ignoring the crowd gathered around them.
“I’d rather die than go back home!” She says nearing the edge.
“Cindi, stay away from the edge.”
“Goodbye, step mother.” And she jumps.
