A chime sounded off. A grim scenery shadowed by a backdrop of vast space set the scenario. Atop hung numerous lights, all spread across the ceiling while lit in white. All shining down their immense rays onto a quadrilateral shaped flooring, surrounded what seemed to be durable glass containing seunna essence, dusky in distinction from the average kind. They joined under an omen, orchestrating shrieks together in a symphony of utmost discord. Sorrow tumbled down their wraith face’s, drowning what would be their dry throats forevermore displaying a show of morbidness that stood ineffectual to any still existing cause of their own. To make matters more disheartening were humanoid faces they adopted the form of, stretching ghostly mouths that splat ears but remained silent to answer their call for distress. One side flowed down with watery droplets and the other a bloody stream of pain. Indistinguishable words to living human ears, with the addition of noises in repetition proved well to be a form of torture treatment to some, specifically the man who sat in the middle. He was constricted, tied to a chair bounded by glowing steel chains that appeared to vibrate with the foreign plea of seunna spirits around him. He bent his head backwards letting it and his hair simply dangle feeling blood rush to its front. Imperium armor lied down near his feet, revealing a formal undershirt with an implanted chip sinking into his chest above the collar. His bleeding tainted whatever remaining clothe threads still remained pieced jointly.
The chiming from before rang, the man focused his listening on it rather than his paranormal company as difficult as it may have seemed. He eyes stayed glued onto a smartphone closeby but out of his reach.
A voice spoke from large speakers taking the place of corners on each side of the ceiling in all directions.
“Do not act out of line just yet, I know you’re still conscious Reiji” Monarch Omnium’s voice rang in his eardrums unannounced.
Reiji’s head reflexed himself to the abruption, his expression at ease and collected.
“Firstly, let’s both set one thing straight. I do not advocate death as punishment nor will I ever. I provoke the idea because frankly, some individuals or ethnic groups for that matter deserve not to live out their lives serving another’s passion, that is true slavery. Suppose I let my people free the natives to live out an ordinary life of their own? Xenysis has already proven countless and countless of times that even they would fall on desperate measures to stay alive, well and healthy. Humans were born with one special trait that other animals belonging in nature lack, and that is to climb the ladder to the top of the food chain without supporting factors” Kensei spoke.
Reiji wiggled himself in frustration, helpless to answer his foreseen caller.
“You say you do not advocate death!? What Would posses you to say such false nonsensical bullshit having been responsible for the enslavement and mass murder of an entire race full of people!? Using your own corrupt system to justify your doings worldwide!?” Reiji responded.
“You are a live sinner parading in a coat of top notch human flesh” Reiji added, his voice echoing in the chip.
“Mass murder?! Such filth would never grace these constructive hands, how insulting!” Monarch Omnium replied
“These hands are cleansing the plague humanity has suffered from for an eternity, if god had not willed it then it would not be so I would not be standing in this awe-inspiring position that I am today. Furthermore, it is not I to fault for that culpability. Humanity fears the unknown so they seek guidance in their minuscule lives as a moth is drawn to an open flame they attract to a future promised for the moment, failing to grasp the sense of how dazzling it may be enough to blind them. My followers chose to carry out what I ordered them too, if they can rest at night, high noon , or morning with peace of mind under my wing? Well that faith runs deep with wonder” He went on
“If in our epilogue I am condemned as a malefactor and happen to become one with sin, so be it. That judgement will only balance out the flow of the universe in my eyes. We all branch from different perceptions, right and wrong are illusions. Now take a look around yourself Reiji!” He heightened his tone.
“Sex! Rape! Pedophilia! Corruption! Theft! Where does murder lie on that scale!? I’d ask our native friends but it seems that isn’t possible at the moment” Omnium spoke sarcastically.
Reiji gasped, the chiming began ringing for a third time repeatedly.
“Native friends!? What could you possibly mean by that!?” Reiji asked, looking frightened.
“What could I possibly mean!? I couldn’t be more straightforward even if I wanted to, hah! You truly believe all of my dear brother Noah’s own kindred were innocent?! Let me let you in on a little secret, over these passing years the native people have murdered an equal amount of my Imperium acolytes. In a survival of the fittest reaction it is reasonable to result in desperate measures to protect yourself, to chase freedom, but doing so cost them more than their life. It drowned their spirits into damnation. Now our star native is on his way as we speak to attempt to unleash?! Dare I say it!?”
“You knew!? All this time!?” Reiji asked, the glowing constrictions tightened around his muscle, paining him at the squeeze he bled profusely with veins dispersing in the outermost layers of his skin.
He coughed a small puddle of blood.
“H-How long have they been dead!? You’re saying Rationem has been swept?! That can’t be even you aren’t foolish enough to excavate your precious seunna resource. It couldn’t have been done overnight, not an entire populations worth. I thought you had more respect for me than to belittle my knowledge like that.” Reiji spoke, choking from the inside.
“You’re making a grave mistake underestimating that boy, he will find the truth and then-”
“You will liberate him?” Omnium interrupted.
Reiji gasped surprised.
“I believe fate has other plans, it disclosed your identity as a traitor to my people only time will tell how heavy of penalization you’ll receive under my jurisdiction”
“Konwaku was the name?! I suppose in that regard we are the same” he chuckled.
“Let the games begin!” his tone yelled. The light’s shut, while the impure seunna spirits illuminated the dark. Their screeching made more apparent once the monarch silenced himself.
The chime continued to ring, vibrating against the floor.
His reach shuttered but still striving to take a hold, Reiji stretched his to his limits but still to no avail.
He released his movement, succumbing to his weaken physicality.
His blurred vision fading to black in and out
“H-How could I have allowed to be captured, by a blind imbecile guard no less, I am ashamed”
His breathing slowed, heartbeat slugged.
“Kanen, stay strong” he let out an exhausted wheeze
“Delphina, f-forgive me” he said falling unconscious.
MEANWHILE CONCURRENTLY
Dialing, Dialing, Dialing, still the contractor remained unresponsive. Heels clicked fastening with each step, the presence was safeguarded and surrounding forces guarded their leader. Delphina walked earnestly while her peers thought out worldly , her mental state kept itself stable. Seemingly running as the heart of the Operation was her providing the driving force subduing the trepidation spread among her cohorts that popped nerves as they tried to rush against time. Time madame Delphina, had previously sealed away. Velatants, faithful members of the Velatum supported her on all sides as they walked. Decked out from head to toe in black mystifying armor that utilize current technology with a special touch of seunna. Their headgear spoke; antique with round eye lens fit with chained fabric spread in between the obsidian frames for sight. It’s purpose was to hide the eyes from sight so to not pinpoint their shape to be distinguishable from other Velatants, it was seunna enhancement of basic vision near and far regardless. Tubes filled with the essence lied on both sides of the head, where the clipped strap met behind. Patterned with shapes and mechanisms while still shying from appearing complex and setting an originally archaic design. Flashy and distracting it was, but risking, Delphina kept her face exposed.
She lifted the phone to her ear, hoping someone would answer back.
“I told you Dell” Joanne said, walking by her side taking a solid crunch out of her cookie.
“We gotta do everything our damn selves these days! As far as I’m concerned, back in my day a female didn’t have to lift a finger when it came to dirty work, hah! That’s what the men are for am I right?” she spoke.
“Joanne, silence yourself, this is urgent” Delphina responded.
“Kensei has left us with an opening, as trivial as it may sound he is a civilized human being whose wit is not to be taken lightly. If Kanen is in danger, he will make it fair enough for him to escape, the scapegoat is taunting us to draw ourselves into his submission” Delphina spoke in her usual calm manner.
Joanne rolled her eyes.
“I guess when you’re smart as hell the word “chill” ain’t up in your vocab huh?” Joanne responded.
“Not surprised, can’t be too straightforward when you spit slang all the time” she said taking another bite.
“Madame!” A man Velatant spoke aside her, as they all carried on ignoring the siren.
“Our wavelengths are directing a path farther away from home entrance as we speak, are you aware that Kanen is headed in the wrong direction?” he asked, leaning in for communication.
“This is the son of my fiance that we are concerned with , it is common sense that he would disobey to follow his passionate temptations. I fathom his idealistic nature more so than I do of my own” Delphina continued
“With the exception of Joanne, you all have no inclination of another’s instinct. Study your companionship as you do your adversaries” she tipped them all.
“Our destination Joanne?” she asked.
“Rationem ya’ll! The kids probably thinkin he can save everyone in this rat hole of a joint, that’s gonna bite him in the ass when he gets older” Joanne answered snickering in distaste.
“Rationem!? The chamber of judgement!? Why in the world would he subject himself to that torture , after spending so much of his life here?” A Velatum guard asked.
“Eh, I’m sure there’s some kind of crazy logic behind it that we’ll probably never understand” a Velatant guard to her left commented.
Delphina shook her head
“When you are strictly bounded by worldly standards outside of your own, it awakens a hidden inheritance too immeasurable to abide. If a frog sits in a pot when boiling temperatures raise by the number, natural instincts will command it to increase its body head to withstand its intensity. If exceeded beyond it’s threshold it will simply hop out. In layman's terms, we must come to Kanen’s rescue before his dogged determination to free the natives dangers the Operation and himself in the process ” Delphina responded.
“I’m sure you have a plan to support liberating on our own?” A Velatum guard asked.
“And you call yourself a loyal Velatant? You obviously don’t who these Imps are fuckin with huh?” Joanne criticized “Heh”
“Damn you’re harder to talk to than that cookie you’ve been munching on” a tall Velatum guard said, walking near Joanne.
The hardy women nudged hard into the stomach of her seemingly affiliated guard beside her
“Ack!” the man held his stomach, limping before fixating himself as to not reveal weakness
“I’m her translator, you got a problem meet me in the Domus gym once this is wrapped up”
“Joanne, I am perfectly capable of conveying my own words please and thank you” Dephina mentioned.
“From time to time” Delphina said smirking halfway
“Heh! You heard that!? Only sometimes” Joanne said, taking another bite out of her cookie
“Might I remind we are short on time, what should we do next?” the Velatum guard behind the respectful leader asked.
“Of course, I foresaw this occurrence so naturally I have already planned a response. By now Kensei surely has caught wind of our presence, we shall use that against him. According to the triggered security he must have uncovered Kanen’s plan, and is planning to spoil his sentiment like poison. The natives will be held at my step son’s mercy in correspondence with his scheme to capture us in the process. If Kanen crosses the line his pride will resort to terroror threatening an extinction of the native race.
“Extinction!? Every native in Xenysis!? He has access to that kind of power?” the Velatum guard from before asked.
“It is not out of the question, they are all gathered here in this den of all places, like pigs in a pen. Truly repulsive when the thought crosses” Delphina answered.
“He will order extermination, just to prove a point. It is the kind of person he is. That omen clouds my mind but we are prepared. I will use my leader role as bait to lure his twisted intentions. Amidst the chaos you all will liberate Kanen, using seunna as physical protection and their wavelengths to assist with direction in excavating him safely” she went on
“I will await myself at Domus’s entrance, shrouding myself in seunna to blend myself with transparency and will revert the effect to greet Kanen. Tonight, do not guard your incognito so rigorously because whether you know or not I will be in hiding. The Velatum shall prosper no matter what oppression we face” Delphina motivating informed.
“Am I clear?!” Delphina asked.
“Yes ma’am! To succumb is to become!” the Velatum guards shouted in unison.
“Precisely” Delphina responded
“The plan is riding all on your forbearance, it seems risky but when have you ever let us down lady Delphina?” one guard asked confidently
“Tch, never that’s when” another answered sarcastically.
“What about Aliikai!?” the guard to the right of Joanne asked
“Our senses detect her alongside Hanassan Jr.” he stated troublingly.
“They what!?” with her inner tranquility ticked, Delphina took a short while to briefly answer.
“Joanne?!” Delphina said taking a glance at her closest ally.
“You already know I’ve got this in the bag Dell, don’t worry about it” she said comfortingly
“And there’s your answer” said Delphina, smirking again.
“Yes ma’am, thank you for the clarification” the affiliated guard responded
“Wow, that’s the nicest I’ve ever heard from you Joanne, I guess even bullies have man- Ack!” he said being elbowed again regrettably by Joannes hardened elbow.
“These hands gotta date with your face when this over boy” Joanne warned him, chuckling.
“Watch yourself, Juarez” Delphina advised him
“Yeah, watch yourself JUAR-EZ!” Joanne added smiling.
“Oh god!” the Velatum guard Juarez responded.
Stopping their speech, mid conversation the ground below them began to tremble, lightly at first but quaking soon after. The siren boomed followed by a short fuse bursting in the surrounding lights. Setting forth a fitting backdrop for the den of iniquity, that was the Scathatchen prisons.
