The boy watched frozen, horrified to say the least being cut loose from reality at each plea. His heart being the one distinction reminding him of his liveliness, impacting his hollow chest like a drum.
“M-M-Mamma” His soft voice spoke. “M-M-Mamma” it went again, as a pocket of tears began to swell up blurring his vision. His hand shook as it reached into nothingness.
“Aww, aren’t you precious?” Omnium spoke smiling down at the boy.
“You’re but a spitting image of your father, it’s fascinating how nature works I’d expect a little variation from an offspring but you’re so alike to your progenitor that it makes me ill just thinking about it” He said , his grin slowly lowering as he spoke.
“Kanen, Kanen Vann Hanassan” he added.
“Face me when I speak to you boy” said the monarch
Kanen still trembling with his back turned to his authority, failed to even recognize what was happening around him. He stood shaking.
“I will ask once more” the leader continued.
“Face me when I speak to you boy!” he shouted aggressively. His face matching his withheld aggravation
Kanen remained still.
Kensei erupted, laughing maniacally as he shot up from his seat, kicking it to the side. With claws pinching like an iron grip for hands, formidable as the appeared, his locked palm strained Kanen’s neck in a deranged manner.
The innocent toddler choked in submission to his futile efforts he suffered, carelessly.
Carrying on with the horrendous act, Omnium shredded scars into his neck just to tug his prepubescent body on his own whim. Taking him into a chamber with dented walls, transparent from the outside.
“You my boy, have a preexisting condition that can not be lifted. It is not your actions that decide your fate, it is the consequences of those before you” Omnium spoke, throwing Kanen towards the center.
His body helplessly falling victim to the demented monarch.
Illuminating the scenery were two lanterns that hung from the ceiling that shun themselves with a snap of the monarchs fingers.
A Clamor of noises shook the spacing surrounding the two like an Earthquake. Vague words crying out hideously across all types of vocalization, behind a transparent wall.
“Your kind has no place in this world” An elderly voice shouted
“There’s no way in hell we’ll let you grow old enough to make a change!” another male voice, added to the now booming uproar.
“You vermin! Insignificant ant of a child, you will burn in hell with that sinner of a devil you call a father. How dare you draw breath from our planet!” a woman shrieked, concluding her condemnatory speech twisting tongue interaction like nails scratching against a chalkboard.
Gritting his teeth, young Kanen fell to his knees. The madness pulsating as it weighed its course across his tenderness, as vicious batters pounded against the outside invisible to the boys vision. People gathered around striking fear hoping to transform idealistically intricate notions into mirrored regret. Were these illusions intentional, or true in rare form ?
Each banging impact hastened their blows between every passing second.
In the passing of all things, a screening seen apart of the wall had activated.
Endeavoring to find a safe place for his head, Kanen bent back with eyes shut trying to nullify the deafening sound corroding his youthful mind. Clamoring his head with his bare hands searching for even the shortest of relief. Throwing a tantrum back and forth, weeping along with his flying tears.
“Mamma! Unitsi! (Mother)” his voice fading, while his reach their endings until they shattered in scratchy whisper.
“Dada! A-A-Adaboda (Father)!” he roughed his throat to speak.
While the overwhelming voices increased, the screen above began to show picture. His faltering senses shut out all the rest.
Omnium noticing immediately attacked young Kanen, in a fit of unsatisfied treatment.
“You complete waste of skin, taking a place where a fruitful child could be born” Omnium grabbed Kanen with the pure strength of his bare hands, and with a ton of petrifying clashes mashed his skull relentlessly. “The circumstances of one’s birth are all the more relevant when their predecessors are too naive to notice their consequences” he spoke, in an effort to strengthen the power of his voice around all those around him.
The monarch jabbed a violent device he withdrew from his pocket, into the boy electrifying him as seunna spirits exerted themselves from his body. Ingeniously, the method he used to subtract Kanen’s typical seunna healing joined in with his agony as the spirits and their host screeched along in his own morbid harmony of discord. String after string, guilt after guilt.
“Look at me when I’m speaking to you!” he screamed, flashing a smile as he peered into young Kanen’s now inverted pupils, even scuffling at his splattered vital fluids.
“You do not even deserve the right to bleed” he added in a lower tone.
After withstanding countless beating on all surfaces imaginable. Omnium threw him, as he rolled across the floor like a defunct object.
Once realizing that the seunna failed to stitch back his delicate bones, his body pressurized itself to the limit. It was a raw kind of pain that reminded him of his still existed being. Throbbing on breath after the other, he lifted his head upwards to hear his name calling for him.
“Kanen! Kanen!” it cried.
KANEN: That was it. That moment changed everything. My reasoning, my tainted desires. The sin forced me to embrace what I now could not stand to live without. When I took one glimpse at his face no matter how distraught it looked, I knew for sure what kind of destiny I was readying myself to tackle. When the reflection dawns on me in the mirror I ask even today, is my image living up to his expectations? Or have I strayed from my god given path? How much further am I forced to sacrifice myself for history until nothings left?
“Kanen! My son!” the voice called out to him, muting all else mentally.
“Ah, so nice of you to join us brother” said Omnium standing formally taking a gander at the screen.
“We were just about to reach the grand finale” he added.
“Finale? How ludicrously insensitive of you Kensei, not only is he my son, but a mere child at that” the man said. “Trying to reason with you is out of the question, but we are talking sense here. Dear Kanen, my son, you will survive!” He went on.
“Once you succumb, you become. I am aware this statement is beyond your understanding but because you are all my flesh and blood it will resonate within you” said the elderly man
“How oblivious can you be to believe he would remember even in the slightest after I’m finished with him” Kensei rebutted.
“It is only a matter of time” he added. “My people are growing tired of this charade”
The booming noises repeated themselves, Kanen focusing all of his mental stability on the man he saw above. A spitting image of himself was made visible by his will to see, to learn the truth.
“Our time has come to a close, you shall prosper” the man from the screen informed as his panted breath reached behind his words.
A formality even when abutting demise. The man dawned long wavy black hair in correspondence with a majestic entity. He bore bronze skin tone shimmering from spotlights that projected him to the likes of a holy figure. His beard formed a darker wreathe, not too long but just as tidy as his attitude. Light green eyes glowing like diamond in a ruff placement. Forehead swollen, embedded with scars marking the facial area. His clothes worn and torn in leather he still wore proudly. Arms soar in both a gliding pose he claimed as wings, hanging on the chains constraining him. Below his torso was set in the same way, holding his head downward where his cracked glasses lied.
“Ada……Boda? (Father)” Kane said, his eyes widened in wonderment.
“Aw how touching. I mean really, this would make a fascinating scene for a lifetime documentary. I’m sure my people would worship this scene as if it was part of scripture. Hehehe” the monarch spoke and chuckled.
“Noah Vann Hanassan is no more Xenysis citizens!” He yelled into the crowd, which only further intensified their rowdy noises.
“You know what happens next don’t you?” Omnium added
A Hooded man from above stood lurking over Kanen’s father Noah in the wide open field they all filled on the screen.
“I’m sorry, gods forgive me” the manly voice spoke softly from above Noah.
The crowd raged on eager for the next happening, as Omnium nodded still wearing his sharp grin.
“You were not born into this world my son to simply meet what’s expected of you. Your purpose is to defy them with flying colors” Noah spoke his faint voice dying out of sound.
Kanen’s eyes widened, terrorizing him further as three horrific gunshots pierced the loose container Noah filled his powerful spirit inside.
Frozen Kanen watched, eyes expanding thoughts timing down to the edge on the brink of explosion.
Pushing forth vibrant streaks, spilling from his mouth.
The hooded man lifted forth an unknown weapon appearing with the tip shaped like an Axe's blade but the rest seeming comparable to a halberd belonging to a future era. A product of seunna.
It was sudden, sharpening.
The moment came thundering down down like a lightning bolt in it’s shocking weight, cutting through thin dermis as Noah’s paper.
A reflecting sparkling in young Kanen’s eyes, as his heart rate tried burrowing itself through the chest he was hellbent on silencing with his palm.
“ADABODA!” Kanen screamed, howling throughout the millennium it would seem.
OLDER KANEN: Father………
