Once back in town, Renee and Sam searched high and low for flower pots. Sam soon, spotted a flower pot. Renee quickly clasped the pot in her hands.
Renee: *apologetically* I’m sorry. *lifts the pot over her head*
A random elderly lady appears out of nowhere and saw what Renee was gonna do.
Random elderly lady: *gasped and hits Renee with her purse* Let go of my flower pot. My daughter gave me that.
Renee: *smashed the flower pot* I’m so sorry.
She sifted through the dirt and found 10 coins and a note in big handwriting. It read, “For the lady’s pot.” Renee handed the lady the coins and ran off to destroy the next one. The pair kept destroying pot after pot. Each pot contained more notes and coins. The last of the flower pots was the most expensive of all. Sam and Renee gulped as the pot shattered. The last pot contained a note that read, “I’m sorry for your loss, Ross. Please accept that we’ll pay the cost.” Along with 10,000 coins. The teens’ hearts sank. Renee started to tear up at the sight of the money and the note. She sniffled as Sam held her. She noticed that he was crying too. Suddenly, a guy came out of nowhere, clutching an old wooden sword, as the teens ran off.
Guy: *flailed his arms wildly* That’s right, you better run, you hooligans. *noticed the shattered flower pot and dropped to his knees*
The guy then picked up the note and the coins and wept.
Quest 2 completed
Sam and Renee ran as fast as they could. Sam out of breath, huffed and laughed. He smiled as Renee stretched. She felt good and hopeful at the same time. She thought about Grandma and Grandpa and how they loved to wither little trinkets for her. She thought about Leon and how they would take the news of him murdering their only daughter and son-in law.
Sam: *squeezed her hand* Renee…
Renee: *snapped back to reality* Huh?
Sam: Are you ready for the next quest?
Renee: *smiled* Yes.
