Leon was immediately surprised that the bank was right to the left of the town entrance. He took Renee off his shoulder and placed her delicately in Jada’s arms. Jada chastised him for not seeing Sam draped over her shoulder. He ignored her gaze, kissed her, straighten his clothes and walked toward the bank. He pushed the door open and walked up to the teller.
Gil: Hello, I’m Gil the owner…Welcome to Gil’s Coins and welcome to Sapphire Grove! How may I help you, sir? *smiled*
Leon: Hi. My grandparents left us, some coins under the name, Leon.
Gil: *smiled* Ah, yes. Give me a moment. *looks for coins for about two minutes*
Gil: *hands Leon the coins* Here’s 100,000 coins. Will that be all, sir?
Leon: *smiled* Yes. Thank you for---*paused and stammered* How many coins, did you say?
Gil: *repeated happily* 100,000 coins.
Leon: V.O. Why would they give me that much? I only need 50,000 at most.
Gil: *cleared his throat* Will that be all, sir?
Leon: *snapped back to reality* Yes. I’ll be on my way.
Leon left the bank and ran over to his wife, a big grin plastered on his face. He lifted her, Renee and Sam up and spun them around. Jada laughed.
Jada: *asked* What got you so giddy, silly?
Leon: *set her and the sleeping teens down gently* My grandparents gave us, 100,000 coins.
Jada’s eyes lit up. She’s never handled that much money nor has she seen that much. Her ear stiffened and she crossed her arms. She looked pensively at her husband.
Jada: Why did they give us that much?
Leon: *shrugged and picked up his little sister* I don’t know, but let’s find the Inn, so these knuckleheads can recover.
Jada unfolded her arms and sighed as she lifted Sam. As the couple roamed around the town, they took in the sights, sounds and smells. They walked around to various places. She paused and smiled as they came across the armor shop. She read the sign out in front, “Weapons & Armor.” She hastily walked inside, ignoring Leon calling after her. She thought, “You left me with the kids, now it’s your turn.” She walked up to the counter and the man behind it, smiled.
Kev: Hello, welcome to the Weapons Shop, I’m Kev. How may I help you?
Jada: Yes, I’m just looking for a spell book for advanced lightning attacks.
Kev: *smiled* We have plenty of those. Here’s a List:
Name Damage Price
Lightning Storm Stuns all enemies and you gain HP from the one with the most health, but it requires 400 SP 1,800 coins
Lightning Blade Strikes seven times in one turn, requires 250 SP 1,600 coins
Lightning Fury Kills all enemies instantly, requires 500 SP 1,900 coins
Elegant Lightning Dance You dance around the foe and it distracts the foe away from your team. It ends with you blowing the foe up with ten lightning strikes 2,000 coins
Jada looked over the list. She bit her lower lip, these books for all great…But she could only choose one. She looked the list up and down again, before continuing.
Jada: Can I combine books?
Kev: *smiled* You sure can. If you’re level is high enough. What level are you?
Jada: 24.
Kev: Okay. Select the two you want to combine. You can name the move, if you want.
Jada: *sighed and smiled* Elegant Lightning Blade Dance.
Kev: Good choice. Because you are on level 24, I’ll just ask for 1,000 coins, please.
Jada: Why is that so low?
Kev: *smiled widely* You’re my 1000th customer and you can pick out a free armor set of your choice across from me. Just mention my name to Lis.
Jada: *smiled* Thanks *hands Kev 1,000 coins from her own personal stash*
Kev takes the coins and Jada learns Elegant Lightning Blade Dance. She heads over to Lis. Lis looked up at Jada and groaned.
Lis: What do you want?
Jada: I’d like to redeem a free armor set from you. Kev sent me over. *smiled*
Lis: *groaned* Here’s the full list of armor sets:

Jada thought it over and was mesmerized by the archer girl set for some reason. She huffed and sighed. “It’s not for me. It’s for her…I know I got on her for wearing something revealing but if THIS doesn’t work for her. Then I gladly change my class to wear it.”
Jada: I’ll take the Archer Girl set, please.

Lis: Your welcome, have a nice day.
Jada smiled as she headed toward Leon and rest of the party. Leon sighed and chastised his wife for not helping with the teens. Jada shot her husband a mean look. He quietly backed away.
Leon: So, what took you so long?
Jada: I was just browsing for some things.
Leon: *laughed* What kind of things?
Jada: *chuckled lightly* You’ll see.
The couple walked around town and came across the Inn. Jada read the sign, “Best Inn.” They went inside. The inn was lavishly decorated and looked lovely. Leon walked up to the counter. Annie put on her best face and quickly read Jada’s face. She thought, “Lis got to her, Dang it…” She smiled warmly.
Annie: Hello and welcome to Best Inn. I’m Annie the owner. How may I help you?
Leon: What’s the rate for how many nights, we can stay?
Annie: How many nights did you plan on staying?
Leon: One Night.
Annie: If you are a Best Inn member, the sum of 100 coins is for one night stay. If you aren’t its 150 coins.
Leon: Honey…*nudged Jada lightly and whispered* Aren’t you a Best Inn member?
Jada: *whispered back* Yes.
Annie: *smiled and waited patiently*
Jada: I’m a Best Inn member.
Annie: Alright, that will be 100 coins, please.
Jada: *motioned for her coin purse and Leon had already paid the amount*
The couple talked to Annie about help with the sleeping teens. Annie motioned for two guys out of the kitchen to carry them to their adjoining rooms. Even though, Jada and Leon were married, they had separate rooms because of the young teens in their midst. Once in her room, Jada plopped down on her luxuriously soft bed, quietly cursing herself again for knocking Renee and Sam out. She found herself drifting off to sleep. The next day, she woke up. Renee was at the foot of her bed, glaring at her.
Jada: I know you’re angry at me for knocking both of you out…*chastised* But you can’t pull a weapon out on your party leader and not expect his second-in-command to not fight. *sighed and paused* Besides to make up for it, I bought you something.
Renee’s eyes lit up as Jada motioned for her to close her eyes. Jada proceeded to dress Renee in the Archer Girl set. When she was done, Renee removed her hands from her face. Jada looked her little sister-in-law up and down. She thought, “Wow, she looks pretty.” Jada pulled open the door to the adjoining rooms. Sam and Leon walked in as Renee spun around slowly. Sam gazed at Renee in approval and walked over to her slowly.
Renee: *blushed* What do you think?
Sam: *stammered* I---You look…Wow. *blushed* I love it.
Renee: *blushed* Thank you, Sam.
The two teens stared lovingly at each other like Jada and Leon weren’t even there.
Leon: *frowned and cleared his throat* Renee and Sam, now that you are awake…You are both being punished for attempting to kill me. So, I’ll have you do three quests and the punishment will subside.
Both teens groaned and Jada snickered.
Leon: *continued* Quest 1: Defeat eighteen bears while wearing blindfolds. Quest 2: Find and destroy fourteen flower pots. Quest 3: Rescue the girl in distress.
Renee: *confused* Bear? Flower Pot? Girl? ...What?
Leon: Quest 1 is rather easy. Quest 2 will make townsfolk mad at you and Quest 3 calls you to redeem yourselves in our eyes.
Renee: *groaned and took Sam’s hand* Come on, let’s go do Quest 1.
