To gain beauty we must give something up, in this case it would be sanity!
See, my friend Tommy obsesses over specific lighting and would literally stay away from a place is the lighting doesn't suit him. He jokingly said I should do the same because I look good in a specific light then we goofed around saying how we should just carry our own light!
Edit: On the second last panel it should have said "So I thought that if..."
