Tori tired to stifle her laughter. She found his question stupid. Obviously she's drunk. She was about to tell him how dumb of a question that was, but then she remember who she was talking to.
"I'm so sorry sir, I've had rough few weeks, and today just topped it off." She slurred.
He watched her shift around in the small chair. She was wearing her uniform. He wondered if she wore it here or changed before she came in. Her makeup looked perfect even in her state of drunkenness. A few buttons at the top of her button up crop top were undone and he could see her pink laced push up bra. Her breast didn't seem to be small in the bra she was wearing.
"Miss.Walters, please button up your shirt." He asked through gritted teeth as he felt his pants tighten.
She looked down at her chest, her face flushed red and she button up her top.
"I am so sorry sir, for being late. And showing up drunk. I got a call this morning and I got fired from the hospital. I went to a small pub near where I live, got drunk and changed into my uniform there."
He felt almost bad for the small woman infront of him. She has a lot to deal with.
"Did you drive here?" He questioned.
"N...no I took the bus." She slurred quietly.
"You changed into that in a pub and took a bus?" He half yelled. He realized his voice rose to high when he saw her lower her head down and started to play with her fingers. "From now on, do not wear that unless you're here. Do you understand?"
She nodded her head slowly.
"No Miss.Walters, I want you to tell me you understand, look me in the eyes and tell me."
He pants grew even tighter as she rose her head up and looked him in the eyes. Her lips parted slightly as she took a breath, her cheeks stained red.
"I under stand Mr.Johnson." She spoke softly. Her voice was delicate and gentle.
He liked how she said his name, it made him hungry. But food wouldn't satisfy this hunger.
"Tori, I know why you're trying to work so many jobs at once."
Carter couldn't hold it back anymore. He needed her to sign this agreement. The wedding needs to happen soon. Tori's eyes glasses over as she covered her hand over her full lips.
"What all do you know?"
"I know everything about you."
She felt uncomfortable, a man she knew nothing about has just claimed to know everything about her. A little afraid and a little confused she met his eyes once again.
"Like what?"
He smiled slyly at her.
"I know that you're one of two children. Your father died when you were 12, you were in a car accident when you were 15 which prevents you from lifting anything too heavy. You had a record from when you were 16 to 19, and I know that your lovely sister is in the hospital dying of cancer." Carter handed Tori the contract he had typed up. "I can help you with those bills that are going to cost more than you'll ever make in your lifetime. I just need you to sign this form."
Tori's eyes traveled over the page, she wasn't sure what she was reading.
"A marriage contract?" Her brow arched as her face twisted in confusion, after a second of repeatedly looking over this piece of paper she slammed it against his desk. "You want me to marry you?" She spat.
"You need money. I need a wife."
"What makes you think I would marry you? And why the hell do you need a wife?" Her throat started to hurt from yelling and from being parched.
"You need money for the chemo bills, do you not? And it's none of your business as to why I need a wife. Just know you weren't my first choice."
Tori stayed silent as she thought about his offer.
"You need the money tori."
She thought hard. If she marries him, she'll be able to help her sister. She can pay for those expensive chemo bills.
"If I marry you, what will happen?"
Carter rubbed his scruffy stubble in his face.
"You would move in with me, you wouldn't have to work. I don't care if you do though. I don't care who you flirt with or who you sleep with. You would help me get what I want, and I would pay those bills you need paid."
Before Tori could chime in her thoughts, he went on.
"If you don't pay for those bills soon, your sister won't get the chemo she needs."
Moments passed as he awaited her decision.
"I'll do it, I'll marry you."
Hope rose inside the both of them. Tori's sister's chemo could continue, and Carter could keeps his companies. Tori picked up the piece of paper that held her sisters future.

Carter Johnson. ,Tori Walters.
She slowly handed Carter the piece of paper.
"Thank you Miss.Walters, we can move you in to my house tomorrow. For now, Ed can take you home."
"Home?"
"Yes you will be staying in my place tonight. You aren't fired, so don't worry. You're obviously wasted and need rest."
Carter called Ed to have him come get Miss.Walters.
Ed unlocked his bosses house, letting tori enter first so he could shut the door behind him.
Tori began to walk around gasping here and there, she was astounded by the beauty of the house. The walls that surrounded her were made of brick, and it looked so beautiful with the wooden floor. She didn't except Carter to live somewhere like this, she expected a large house with Snow White walls and floors with a clear coffee table along with a long white couch.
"Mr.Johnson will be here shortly, Miss.Walters."
Tori thanked Ed for the heads up, she sat up straight and the room began to spin. She wanted to close her eyes, but it only made the spinning worse.

Carter walked into his living room, he threw his keys into a clear glass bowl on his coffee table. When he flicked on the low dim lights, he could see tori sleeping on the couch.
Her hair cover her face, while her hands were tucked under her delicate head. Carters eyes skimmed her body, she looked peaceful curled into a small half circle. He sat in his chair that was right next to the black couch.
Tori suddenly shot up, panic written all over her face. She was breathing heavily while she pushed her hair out of her eyes.
"Are you okay?" Carter's low voice brought tori back to reality.
She felt a little relieved when she saw the tall beautiful man sitting in his old rustic black chair.
"Oh, yeah." She laughed lightly. "Just had a bad dream that's all."
"What'd you dream about?" He asked trying to make conversation with his, wife to be.
She shuffled uncomfortably.
"I'd rather not say." Tori mumbles loud enough for him to hear her soft words.
Carter nodded his head in understanding, he grew worried. Not necessarily for her, but he intends to marry this woman. What if she's been taken advantage of? Is that she looked so terrified, with panic plastered on her flawless face?
Carter narrowed his eyes at the small woman, she doesn't realize he's starring her down. He hopes she hasn't been tampered with. Growing angry at the thought of what could happen to her, he slams his paperwork on the glass coffee table and exited the room. Leaving the crimson haired girl to herself.
********
Tori wondered around the house, looking for the CEO. After looking for what seems like hours in this maze of a house, Tori sat down on one of the fancy lounge chairs outside. The dark skies calmed her, and the warm breeze blew in her hair. She let the smile she's been forcing away, to spread across her face as she lied there.
"It's beautiful outside isn't it?"
The unexpected voice brought her back from her day dream. She stood up quickly, dusting off her uniform.
"I'm sorry." She exclaims to the man with chestnut eyes and hair. "I was looking for you, but then I got lost and found my out here." Her arms motion to the fancy lawn chairs, and the large swimming pool.
She felt embarrassed. She's a stranger, walking around another strangers house with no permission.
Carter gives her an expressionless look, before he begins to speak.
"It's fine Miss.Walters, I should of given you a tour." He tried to reassure her. "This will be your house too tomorrow, we'll be moving your stuff in."
Tori sat back down. Her eyes stayed on the ground, as her thumbs circled around one another.
"I know I agreed." She starts off. "But I don't just want to get hitched real quick, and call it a day."
Her eyes never left the ground.
"What is it you want?" He asked politely. He pitted the girl as much as he could. He doesn't want to get married at all, but her situation is just a bit worse than his.
She snorts to herself in response.
"Well?" He asked.
She smiled sarcastically while meeting his eyes.
"What every woman wants when she's getting married, I want an actual wedding. This may only be for a year, but I have people and my parents that would love to finally see me marry someone."
Her eyes felt like darts piercing his flesh.
"Your mother you mean?" He crossed his large arms over his proud chest.
Before she opened her mouth to speak, Carter started off again.
"This marriage will only last a year, I want to get married as soon as possible, and get divorced as soon as possible. I'm not in this for love Miss.Walters, I don't love people in that way. You would be wasting your dream wedding on a fake marriage."
She wasn't in this for love either, she doesn't want to marry this bag of d*cks standing infront of her. He's completely arrogant, and rude. She was still taken back by his hard words thought.
"Seeing me get married would make my mother and my sister very happy. And they both need some happiness for once."
"I'm sorry, but I can't help you with that." He shrugs off the idea of planning a big wedding. "Would you like a tour now?"
Her eyes dart to perfectly clear sliding glass doors that lead into the house.
"Is this the place I took you when you were plastered?" She questions as she stands from the lounge chair.
Carter has almost forgotten about that night, he cringed at the thought of this woman putting him to bed.
"No, that was my smaller house." He answers as she reaches him.
Her brows moved forward together as she gave him a dirty look.
"You really need two houses?"
He smiled proudly.
"I have enough money to buy me islands, if I wanted them. My money and how I spend it doesn't concern you."
********
An hour has gone by and Carter has finally showed Tori around the house, as they came up to the last room she felt like her feet weighed a hundred pounds. She was worn out from walking up and down more steps than she could count.
"Ah the last room left." Carter opened the door slowly, and moved aside for tori to take a look.
Tiredness left her as she realized what room she was in.
"This is... our room?"
Carter shook his head.
"No." He answered sternly. "This is my your room."
Her eyes lit up immediately. She was pleased that she has her own room and wouldn't have to share one with him.
"I like it." She smiled.
He nodded and laid his large hand on her thick wooden door frame.
"I'm glad, but I have a lot of paper work to do, and since you've sobered up some I think you should get some rest."
She gives him a small smile before thanking him again. After he says your welcome for the third time since he said he has paperwork to do, he leaves her be and marches back into the living room.
