A year later, a psychiatric facility in the centre of Busan was having a good day in regards to happy visitors and happier patients. The weather might have had to do with the warm weather bringing out the smiles from within. The sun was shining down on the modern structures of the building and its only little park that allowed for patients to enjoy the outdoors. The facility was specific towards mental health and could care up to 200 resident patients whilst had resources to occupancy visiting patients with many psychiatrists.
One flashy car had dropped off a bright blonde girl with a very neutral expression and a light fashion to combat the heat of February. She was visiting her psychiatrist who was only very happy that she was feeling better after her own darker past. She sat in the seat opposite Dr Hani Sun with very a slump posture whilst she would respond to Dr Sun’s questions.
“I’m glad to hear that you are on the mend, Aiko,” smiles Dr Sun.
Aiko sits in neutral in her seat, her legs crossed over, and doesn’t respond to Dr Sun’s smiles and positive attitude, she just want to be free to from the hospital. School was starting soon and all she wanted was to pretend that there was nothing weighing her down and enjoy her time with her friends, Cleo and Tae. She had known them since the first year of high school and already they were the closest set of friends.
“I’m glad too,” says Aiko silently.
“Have things been working out at home?” She asks.
Aiko bites her lip lightly.
“I’m working on it,” says Aiko and unfolds her legs.
“Brilliant,” says Dr Sun boldly and slaps her hands together. “So, should we arrange for another visit in a month instead?”
Aiko slowly nods.
“Sure,”
Aiko pulls out her phone to pull out her calender when she sees a text from her mother demanding that she comes to hers tonight instead of her fathers. He’s doing my head in, understand? Mum. She sighs and swipes it to the side. They arrange the date and she leaves the office with a warm wave to Dr Sun. She enters the hallway and starts for the end when she crosses a door that hadn’t been closed properly. She goes to snoop when a ping on her phone gains her attention. She picks out her phone to see a text.
Yeah, I’m in today. My appointment finishes in the sec. K.
A smile cuts through her neutral expression and her heartbeat began to skip with excitement to see her only friend that knew her darkest secrets. The door opens and spooks her into a panic against the opposite wall. Standing at the door was a rather dumbfounded Kai, standing tall within the door frame and lighter hair than the last time she had seen him.
“Kai!” she exlaims.
He huffs a laugh and rubs his hair.
“Sorry,” he laughs.
He steps out and pulls her from the wall by grabbing a hold of her wrist.
“I’m gunna be a blonde as you one day,” he laughs lightly. “Ki-suk is getting a bit obsessed but I just let him.”
“Maybe I could get him to do my roots when they come through!” she claps her hands as they walk through the halls.
